The bottom line is that natural beauty on these lakes is superb. There are also literally dozens of interesting and fun things you could do around the lakes.
Kenya Art & Culture
In Kenyan art, as in all African art, themes are based on the representation of daily life and African culture; and reveal the importance behind some of its most beautiful art. The common themes are: a couple, a woman and a child, a male with a weapon or animal, an outsider or stranger; but most African traditional societies placed great significance on decoration of both functional and ritual objects, and the body as well. In some tribes this was raised to the form of high art. The Kamba people are considered the best carvers, and have long been known as skilled woodworkers.
Kenya Festivals
With over 70 different tribes in Kenya, the rich diversity of cultures makes every community unique in its own way. Kenya has long been a migratory land passed through by wave upon wave of people from all over Africa and later on from the Middle East as well. There are various cultural events that give one a chance to experience Kenyan culture.
Kenyan Food
The traditional food of Kenya has evolved to incorporate a little bit of the exotic - spicy aromas and the delights of coconut milk blend with introduced foods from faraway lands. The history of Kenya and its cuisine are now forever linked.
